Curt Schilling: More From The Old Man’s Bar

In recent weeks, Curt Schilling has been using his site as a forum for what we like to refer to as "old man's bar" debates.  These debates take the shape of a 64 pitcher tournament of hypothetical match-ups between two post-World War II Era pitchers -- put to a vote by his readers.  In short, baseball bracketology.

The latest match-ups are as follows:

CY YOUNG REGION:

8. Billy Pierce vs. 9. Jim Bunning

WALTER JOHNSON REGION:

8. John Smoltz vs. 9. Dennis Martinez

LEFTY GROVE REGION:

8. Bret Saberhagen vs. 9. David Cone

CHRISTY MATHEWSON REGION:

8. Don Sutton vs. 9. Kevin Brown

Thankfully, Curt made the cut this first round. If and when he does get eliminated, things could definitely get a little bit awkward.
