Our hero (well, my hero — and he should be yours, too) — Steve Nash spent a chunk of Wednesday with Carlos Santana, and writes about it on his Facebook notes page.

"I'm currently on a tour capturing interviews for a video I'm helping make with my wife...to benefit an organization called Free Arts...an incredible program that provides mentorship and materials for underserved kids....

Carlos Santana...is an amazing man with a great story...his foundation, Milagro, has been helping people for over 30 years.... [I'll] post some video I took of Carlos speaking so you can get a glimpse of the heart he possesses.

I left him inspired to keep trying to better myself and to continue to grow the reach my foundation has been fortunate to have. I can't help but see the world as one big family. You may say that I'm a dreamer but Carlos showed me I’m not the only one."

Signing off with Carlos Santana and John Lennon.  Just another reason why Nash is my hero (and should be yours, too).

And while we're on the subject of Nash's filmmaking, here's the teaser for the latest Nash directed short, "SuperBADge," starring Shaq, Alando Tucker and other teammates.
