The Trophy Wife: The Ballgame Resumes

There's an old proverb: No matter who dies, someone has to make the dinner.

In her most recent blog entry, Ashley Thompson -- the trophy wife --contemplates the recent death of Nick Adenhart with relation to this idiom.  She wonders, "How can you justify laughing or grocery shopping when you know how painful this is for all that were so close to him?"

After a one game postponement, the Angels, who will be resuming play tonight, plan to commemorate Nick and the other victims.  Ashley assumes that the Angels minor league affiliate the Bees will also be doing something.  But "nothing seems like enough," she blogs

No matter who dies, eventually the ballgame resumes.

Ashley may not think that "postponing only one game is ample time to grieve the loss of a close friend/family member."  Still, she writes, "There is no doubt in my mind that these guys will be playing for Nick this evening."
