(3:49 ET) Seven minutes and ten seconds remaining in the first half. #11 Alabama leads National Title hopeful #2 Auburn 24-0. The SEC has won the past four BCS national championship games and has won six total and lost zero. LSU head coach Les Miles has even suggested that the winner of the SEC should be guaranteed a spot in the national championship game. So who forgot to tell Alabama?
Why is alabams doing this we need to play in the national championship
Clearly Oher agrees with Saban and feels that the SEC needs to be represented in the championship game and doesn’t like the way the game looks so far.
The seemingly invincible Auburn Tigers, who have overcome tremendous adversity, including the biggest story of the College Football season regarding stud QB Cam Newton and his alleged recruiting violations, have put together a first-half performance that has put Texans offensive lineman Eric Winston to sleep. Winston tweets:
If Auburn doesn't get a 1st down here I'm going to take a nap. Watching a beat down isn't that fun when you don't care who wins
21 yard punt??? Lol. Nap time!!
But not everyone is upset by the game, Oher’s teammate and former University of Alabama star Le’Ron McClain is loving that his school is playing the role of spoiler. McClain tweets at another Ravens teammate and former SEC star at the University of Tennessee Donte Stallworth:
@DonteStallworth man stay tuned in!!! We great they cannot stop Bama #FACT!!
This comes after Stallworth tweeted:
Great run but even better defensive play... Auburn in dire need of a spark and they got one!
What the hell is going on? Bama is beating Auburn 21-0 in the first half. Aurburn has to win so at least an SEC team reps in BCS game. Lol
Just curious but where has this Bama team been all year?
Alabama football is looking good.
Update: Halftime score is Alabama 24, Auburn 7. Maybe the Tigers still have some fight in them.
As Le’Ron McClain told Donte Stallworth, stay tuned, but in the mean time, how about an even better question: when will President Obama use his influence to create a college football playoff system so that the biggest game of the year doesn’t have to happen in November?
Update: 9:12 remaining in the third, Alabama 24, Auburn 14. This could get very interesting.
Update: In one of the most shocking comebacks in college football and Iron Bowl history, Auburn beats Alabama 28-27 in Tuscaloosa, outscoring the senior-laded Crimson Tide 21-3 in the second half. QB Cam Newton leads the way with 3 passing touchdowns, and another on the ground, as Auburn solidifies their spot as one of the best teams in the country.
