Friday marked the first official day of free agency, which meant the first official day of ridiculous contracts, big signings, and dreams fulfilled or crushed. And with this being an uncapped season in the NFL, the contracts are bigger and more ridiculous than ever. Gosh the last part of that sentence seemed like a cheesy pitch from a bad reality show. Anyway, athletes have been tweeting left and right in response to the day's events. Some of my favorites:
Former Bengal John Thornton tweeted:
Dear Football Gods: Please, please have the Bengals sign T.O. - the entertainment would be priceless.
Julius peppers got so much damn money he should buy a small country or his own island!
Or invest in these guys' business idea.
And the Cards lost their Hall-of-Fame starting QB Kurt Warner. Throw in you're about to lose Karlos Dansby, Antrell Rolle, and Anquan Boldin, I gotta say this offseason is really the icing on the cake. Good offseason start for AZ.
shoutout to my boy Josh Cribbs on his new deal.. Thats wrapped up.. So lets gooooo!!!
Since Cribbs accounts for 75% 99% of the attendance at all Browns games, I'd be happy too.
Listening to ESPN radio this guy is a joke kicking every athlete name around...#jerk
I think if we keep getttin good players we will be well on our way
Thanks for the insight. No really, thanks. In all seriousness though, Roddy was happy to get some help on the other side of the ball.
Dunta Robinson good fit for us I think we can use him think we should sign Brian Williams back
The Brian Williams I know is doing pretty well without the Falcons, thank you very much.
If you have never tried Persian food I highly recommend it. Good and healthy.
Because there's really no other way to end this article.
