Is there a cooler coach in the world than USC's Pete Carroll? The guy is relaxed, poised, calm, and always seems to say the right things. They guy can play a piano, and a good prank. He's active on twitter, facebook, and updates his YouTube video blog weekly, if not more. In general, he knows how to have fun.
Take for example the "slide off" held at yesterdays practice.
To break a 12-12 tie in the final team period at the end of Tuesday's practice, Coach Carroll found a creative way to determine a victor between the offense and defense.
And everyone loved it.
Realizing rainy days don't come very often, the ever-playful Carroll said the only way to settle the tie was to put offensive line coach Pat Ruel against defensive line coach Jethro Franklin in a slip-and-slide competition on the most puddle-filled part of the field.
All of this leading into the weekend before the big Notre Dame game. What are the odds that Charlie Weis is doing the same?
