God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career. I met with Mr. Heinsley, Chris Wallace and my next head coach Lionel Hollins.
Thus began Allen Iverson's tweets to the world announcing his decision to play in Memphis this coming season.
Now whether that was his decision or HIS decision, is hard to tell from Allen's tweets. (But does Allen really think God cares where he plays? And, by the way, why would God want to put anyone on the Grizzlies? Unless he was delivering onto them the 11th plague.)
Tweeting secularly, Allen continues:
I feel that they are committed to developing a winner and I know that I can help them to accomplish that. I feel that I can trust them.
I want to help them develop a winner.
Allen's apparently the only one who thinks that Memphis is committed to developing a winner. But then, Memphis was probably the only team willing to pay him $3.5 Large to think that way.
Both Allen and God work in mysterious ways.
