Danica certainly isn't the first one to promote her goods on the internet (*wink wink*).  Athletes (brands) have been promoting themselves on twitter more and more lately.  Chris Cooley (of course), Chad Ochocinco, and Maurice Jones Drew are all working closely with Dick's Sporting Goods to promote the Reebok Electrifys & TTZ Trainers.  Either that or a rogue Dick's employee hacked their twitter account and posted the EXACT same message for all three guys, except for the differing coupon codes:
