There are a few Washington Redskins players that have a strong presence in the online world. Chris Cooley has been around for a while and is making waves with his new Cooley Zone iPhone App. Lately DeAngello Hall has started churning out some videos and blog entries lately to share his thoughts and experiences during training camp. The most recent of Dan Snyder's boys into the fray is safety Chris Horton. . . . . kinda
Not completely understanding the whole idea behind first person communication tools like blogs and twitter, Chris announced yesterday (via a 13 second video on his yardbarker blog) that he'd be passing this duty off to rewarding some lucky contest winner with the opportunity to write his other blog.
I came up with the idea to give one blogger the opportunity to take over my www.predator48.com blog on my website (predator48.blogspot.com) for the entire regular season (seein as that I blog on YardBarker now). So the winner of the contest will win the right to blog on my website each week and win an autographed Predator48 shirt. (for more details visit my website.)
Wait?!!? What?!? Let me get this straight. The "blog" link on your website wont go to YOUR blog. Instead, that link will be to to a fan's blog that gets to use the (free-to-everyone) blogger.com site to write about Redskins (I assume) games. Meanwhile, you'll continue "your blog" on a different site that is only linked to on your website at the very bottom by a graphic not mentioning the word blog at all. Clicking that graphic will bring me to blog I'm currently reading now at yardbarker. Goodness that makes my head wanna explode. Wouldn't it be easier to have the blog link to go to YOUR blog, and another link labeled contest winner blog. That seems pretty straight forward to me.
For full contest rules head over to Chris's website and see if this makes any more sense to you than it does to me.
