Bringing Home The Beckham

Breaking news from the twittersphere:  Beckham tweets again.

The last we heard from David Beckham was on March 23, 2007, when he tweeted:

But how can my fans leave comments here? Hey! What does "twitter" mean?!

It's a question on a lot of people's minds, and one so large that it was enough to drive David away for over two years just weeks after he had initially set up his account.   Yesterday, however, he returned rather unceremoniously, tweeting:

I registered this account more than TWO years ago. How can I still remember the password? Testing on my iPhone 3G.

Shortly after signing in, David apparently became aware of how many people had started following him in his absence and  tweets:

23,846 followers? Oh that's great.

After a few hours, seemingly overcome with emotion,  he bursts out with excitement:

Oh. Hello all!

(Hello gorgeous.)

Finally, having presumably contemplated whether or not he should also be following fellow tweeters -- seeing as how so many are following him, he tweets:

I'm not following anyone because... Will my "following" make any sense?

Hard to say. Because that sentence most certainly did not.
