If you know Rob Lunn -- the soon-to-be-not-fat white guy -- then it won't surprise you to hear the latest story from his recent trip to Spain. The one where he approaches the father of two young children and says, "Excuse me sir, I'd like to take a few pictures of your little boys and then post them on the internet. Don't make this weird....just say yes."
As it turns out, Rob really wasn't just being weird. He was on a mission to update his now semi-regular feature on Chris Cooley's blog called: "Cooley Fans Around The World." A feature that attempts to document the truth about how much Cooley gear there really is bouncing randomly around the globe. Rob writes:
While I don't always get the shot (taking pictures of unsuspecting strangers is generally frowned upon), I promise you there is almost too much Redskins and #47 gear floating around the European Union. What do I mean by too much?--just once I'd like to see a Bills hat (I mean, don't they send the losing team's Superbowl gear to foreign countries?)
The boys who Rob wanted to photograph for the internet, were two such examples of the "Too Much Redskins" Syndrome -- each was wearing a Washington jersey when he saw them wandering the streets of Barcelona.
In the end, despite his failed efforts to communicate with the family in the wrong language (He tried Spanish, they only spoke English) and the dubious nature of his request, strangely enough, Chris was able to successfully convince the father of the two young boys to let him do his photo shoot.
It is fair to deduce that either the father in question was endowed with extremely questionable parenting skills, or Rob is as winsome and persuasive in person as he is on the interweb.
