Earlier today, Lance Armstrong took a break from the rigors of training to tweet, “Was winning the Tour seven times that offensive?!?”
Lance could be a twittering about George Vecsey’s column in the New York Times this morning recounting the latest chapter in the ongoing drama that is the relationship between Lance and the heavily accented and deeply suspicious French anti-doping officials. (When are we going to hear from the pro-doping officials?)
In the recent twist of what Vecsey describes as a Pink Panther storyline, French officials have accused Armstrong of cheating on his March 17th drug test – the one taken from samples of his blood, urine and “air.” (As Vecsey points out, that’s how French people say “hair.”)
The French. They suspect everyone, and they suspect no one.
Some just more than others.
